BIO/SUMMARY

Mark Newton established HSNO's Northern California practice in 1977 in San Francisco. Mr. Newton relocated to Seattle in 2005 when the firm’s new office opened and he currently co-manages the Seattle and Emeryville offices. He has over 30 years of experience in forensic accounting and economics cases.

Mr. Newton’s expertise includes the measurement of economic damages resulting from business interruption, construction defect, business valuation cases, intellectual property infringement, property loss, contingent losses, employee dishonesty, contractual disputes, product liability, employee pay disputes and personal injury. He also has significant experience in the measurement of construction claims and consequential damages for both owners and contractors. Mr. Newton has investigated many fraud cases including embezzlement, theft of cash, theft of inventory and other personal property, and kickback schemes.

Mr. Newton has testified as an expert witness on hundreds of occasions in deposition and in trial for cases in State Court, Federal Court, arbitration and insurance appraisals. He has also testified before the International Trade Commission in Washington, DC regarding a patent infringement case.
